Flow Compensation
Explanation
Method whereby spins that are moving at a constant velocity along a gradient are rephased by virtue of a reversed or inverted gradient pattern. The resultant waveform results in every second gradient echo being rephased, or "flow-compensated"

Fast Fourier Transform
Explanation
Fast and efficient method of performing the Fourier transform. Usually requires that the number of points being transformed be a power of 2, which is why matrices of 64,128,256,and 512 are commonly used.
