Expansion	Gadolinium
Explanation	Lanthanide agent that is strongly paramagnetic with seven unpaired electrons in its native state. Collects in extracellular space and promotes T1 relaxation (shortens T1). Also reduces T2 signal to a lesser degree. Chelated form (gadolinium - diethylenetriaminepentaacetic acid) is often used.

Expansion	Gradient Moment Nulling
Explanation	Method whereby spins that are moving at a constant velocity along a gradient are rephased by virtue of a reversed or inverted gradient pattern. The resultant waveform results in every second gradient echo being rephased, or "flow-compensated"
