About Simply Physics
The physics is complicated.
Working with us isn’t.
Meet Dr. Moriel NessAiver
He literally wrote the book on MRI physics.
Dr. NessAiver has been working with MRI machines for over 30 years and, in that time, has become one of the most widely respected names in the field. He holds four patents on novel imaging techniques, has co-authored dozens of papers and presentations, and literally wrote the book on MRI physics.
He formerly sat on the ACR Subcommittee on MRI Accreditation Physics and has spent the last 30 years at Simply Physics developing and perfecting QC programs for every type of scanner and situation.
Most medical physicists divide their time between all of the various imaging modalities, and with split focus comes lowered understanding. Dr. NessAiver’s specialization in the complicated field of MRI physics has allowed for the development of the most comprehensive, in-depth quality control program available today — one that is constantly evolving as he learns more.
Our mission
Founded in 2002, Simply Physics has a core mission of improving the quality of magnetic resonance imaging across the country. That happens in three primary ways:
- Providing quality control services to MRI magnets across the country, with the aim of making the machines work perfectly rather than just “good enough to pass inspection.”
- Producing accessible educational materials that let burgeoning physicists and technologists build an in-depth understanding of how MRI machines operate.
- Developing new testing and analysis techniques for greater accuracy, reliability, and repeatability in the operation of MRI scanners.
